The First Amendment: San Francisco vs Michael Savage

By now I am sure that you have heard of the crazy resolution brought forth in the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to silence radio talk show host Michael Savage. This resolution failed. Here is another example of how crazy left wing communists, like Supervisor Sandoval try to spread their communist agenda. When you cannot win an argument, the only thing you can do is to suppress or silence the opposition.

This is exactly what they are trying to do in San Francisco. I happened to be listening to Michael Savage that day when he said this ‘so-called’ racist remark. The funny thing was is that he didn’t mention a race. How can you have a racist remark without mentioning the race that you are racist against? All he said was ‘if they (certain college protesters) want to go on a hunger strike, let them until they starve to death.’

I don’t really see the racism here. The people he was referring to were protesters obviously, not the entire Latino community. I suppose that these protesters value their right to protest and their right to speak freely on their issue, which of course happens to be illegal immigrants getting college educations.

So if they value this right of free speech so much, why not let another speak his or her mind on the subject. The only reason they are upset is because Michael Savage gave an opposing view point.

Now we have communists, like Sandoval, who, in order to push their agenda, tell their Latino neighbors that Savage is a racist and should be fired. The Latinos then must gather together in protest (a form of free speech) because they believe what they’re told by their communist dictator. I suppose if Sandoval had his way, he would throw everyone who opposed his views into jail. Sounds like Hugo Chavez. Perhaps he should move to Venezuela.

If he is not sued for slander I would be surprised. After listening to some of what the Savage protesters had to say, I was convinced that these people are brain washed. They are being led to believe that conservatives are anti-immigrant and racist.

They are wrong. Conservatives are not anti-immigrant, we are anti ILLEGAL immigrant.

We are not racist, nor is Michael Savage. We have no problem with our LEGAL immigrants from Latin America, although that seems to be few and far between these days. We also have no problem with immigrants who follow our laws by coming here legally, instead of breaking the law on their first day in this country by crossing the border illegally!

Illegal immigrants should be given no special treatment, no free rides and certainly no free college educations. The longer Congress waits to take care of this problem, the sooner local governments will begin acting on their own.

I still wonder why we have immigration laws that we do not enforce. Yet when we have a man like Michael Savage expressing himself, the FIRST Amendment is ignored. Figure that one out.
